By the hour. Before you book you see the pro’s hourly rate, the estimated time and Doyo’s service fee. Your card is held when a pro is confirmed and charged only when the job is marked complete. If the work turns out bigger, the pro has to put the new figure to you in the chat and wait for your yes — under Ontario law they cannot charge more than 10% over the estimate without your agreement.
What should I do while I wait for a plumber?
If water is escaping, turn off the fixture’s own shut-off valve, or the home’s main valve (often where the water line enters the basement). Move valuables away from the water and take a photo for the plumber.
Can I send a photo of the problem?
Yes. Add a photo or screenshot in the chat. The Doyo agent uses it to understand the job, and it goes to the plumber with your request.
