Plumbers in Brampton, Ontario

Brampton is mostly newer housing: about 48% of its homes were built in 2001 or later and about 23% before 1981, and just over half are single-detached houses. Peel Region pays 60% of the invoice, up to $1,500 including tax, for a sanitary backwater valve installed after July 16, 2024 in a Brampton single, semi or townhome. It needs a licensed contractor, a City building permit and a passed inspection, and homes with a basement apartment sharing the sewer line don’t qualify. One rebate per home every 10 years. Ask the plumber whether the job needs a permit from Brampton’s Building Division. Doyo books plumbing across Brampton: describe the job, see the full price before you book, and pay only when it is done.

Building permits

Brampton’s Building Division needs a permit for a finished basement, a second unit, new or enlarged window and door openings, and any deck that is attached to the house or 0.6 m (2 ft) or more above the ground. A storage shed needs one at 15 m² or more, and a gazebo or other accessory building at 10 m² or more. Re-shingling, a fence (other than a pool fence) and swapping a forced-air furnace without changing the ductwork don’t.

Water

Brampton’s tap water comes from Lake Ontario through Peel Region’s South Peel system and measured 120 to 130 mg/L of hardness (7.0 to 7.6 grains per US gallon) in 2025 — “moderately hard” in the Region’s words.

Help centre

You see the price before you book. Some jobs are a flat price, some are priced by the measure — a bedroom, a window, a square foot — and some are by the hour; the page says which, and so does the app before you confirm. Prices on this site are the full price, Doyo’s service fee included — nothing is added at checkout. Your card is held when a pro is confirmed and charged only when the job is marked complete. If the work turns out bigger, the pro has to put the new figure to you in the chat and wait for your yes — under Ontario law they cannot charge more than 10% over the estimate without your agreement.
