Handyman: common questions
How is handyman work priced on Doyo?
By the hour. Before you book you see the pro’s hourly rate, the estimated time and Doyo’s service fee. Your card is held when a pro is confirmed and charged only when the job is marked complete. If the work turns out bigger, the pro has to put the new figure to you in the chat and wait for your yes — under Ontario law they cannot charge more than 10% over the estimate without your agreement.
Can a handyman do electrical or plumbing work?
Not work that Ontario licenses. A handyman can hang a shelf or swap a cabinet handle; moving an outlet or replacing a supply line needs a licensed electrician or plumber, and Doyo will route it to one.
