By the hour. Before you book you see the pro’s hourly rate, the estimated time and Doyo’s service fee. Your card is held when a pro is confirmed and charged only when the job is marked complete. If the work turns out bigger, the pro has to put the new figure to you in the chat and wait for your yes — under Ontario law they cannot charge more than 10% over the estimate without your agreement.
How long does a house clean take?
As a rough guide, a standard clean of a two-bedroom home is about two to three hours, and a deep clean of the same home about four to six. The estimate you see before booking is based on what you tell Doyo about the place.
Do I need to be home?
No, as long as the cleaner can get in. Add access instructions when you book — a lockbox code or a concierge — and message the cleaner in the app if anything changes.
Does booking a cleaning earn Doyo credit?
Often, yes. Doyo Rewards gives credit after finished jobs, and cleaning is one of the services it runs on. The booking screen shows what the job will earn before you confirm.
