Most people don’t know whether the sound in the ceiling is a plumber’s problem or a roofer’s. They don’t know what a fair price is, or whether the person at the door is licensed. And a lot of people in the GTA think in a language other than English. Booking a home service asks all of them to fill in a form written for someone else.
Doyo starts from the other end. You say what’s wrong, the way you’d say it to a friend — typed or spoken, in English, French, Persian or Spanish. The Doyo agent works out what you need and asks what a good tradesperson would ask. Then it finds a verified pro nearby, shows you the price, and holds your payment until the work is done.
What we hold ourselves to
- Every pro is checked. Photo ID matched to a selfie, a police record check, and a valid licence for regulated trades — before they’re offered a single job.
- The price comes first. You see the rate, the time and our fee before you book. A pro can’t add to the bill without your agreement in writing.
- Pros keep their rate. Our fee is added on your side, and tips go to the pro in full.
- A person answers. Support in the app is answered by people at Doyo.
