Government photo ID matched to a selfie, and a police record check — for every pro, before their first job. Electricians, plumbers, gas technicians and exterminators are licence-verified on top, and re-checked when the licence runs out.

The pro’s rate, the estimated time and Doyo’s fee, together, in one number. Nothing is added to the bill later without your yes in writing — so the figure you agree to is the figure you pay.
Your money stays yours until it’s done
Doyo holds the payment on your card rather than handing it over. It is released when you confirm the work is finished; on quoted jobs, part of it stays held through the warranty period.

Help centreHow does Doyo work?
You describe the problem in your own words and Doyo works out which trade you need, then puts the job in front of verified pros nearby. You compare their rate, reviews and past work, pick one, and pay only after the job is done. Most requests take about two minutes to send.
How are Doyo pros checked?
Every pro provides government photo ID with a matching selfie and passes a police record check before they are given a single job. For electrical, plumbing, gas and pest control, Doyo also verifies the Ontario licence and keeps checking that it is still in date.
How much does Doyo cost?
Pros set their own rates — cleaning starts around $45 an hour, plumbing around $70. Before you book you see the rate, the estimated time and Doyo’s service fee together, as one number. Asking costs nothing and there is no membership fee.
When is my card charged?
Your card is held, not charged, once a pro is confirmed, and the payment is taken only when the job is finished. A pro cannot add anything to the bill without your agreement in writing.
Can I book a pro for the same day?
Often, yes. Your job is offered to pros who are online near you the moment you send it, and most requests are answered within minutes. If it is not urgent, you can pick a date and a time window instead.
Which languages can I use?
English, French, Spanish or Persian — written or spoken. Doyo replies in the language you write in, and your description reaches your pro in a language they have confirmed they read.

Doyo covers the Greater Toronto Area: Toronto, North York, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Markham, Newmarket and Aurora. Newmarket is the first city open, and we add cities as verified local pros come on board.
