How is furnace and AC service priced on Doyo?
By the hour. Before you book you see the pro’s hourly rate, the estimated time and Doyo’s service fee. Your card is held when a pro is confirmed and charged only when the job is marked complete. If the work turns out bigger, the pro has to put the new figure to you in the chat and wait for your yes — under Ontario law they cannot charge more than 10% over the estimate without your agreement.
How often should a furnace be serviced?
Once a year, ideally in early fall before you rely on it. Change or clean the filter every one to three months in between, more often with pets.
What if I smell gas?
Leave the house right away, do not switch anything on or off, and call Enbridge Gas’s emergency line or 911 from outside. Book a technician only once the emergency is dealt with.
