Privacy Policy

Doyo Inc. ("Doyo", "we", "us") operates a marketplace that connects customers with independent home-service providers in Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We comply with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Information we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and phone number.
• Service details — the service address you provide and your approximate location, used to match you with nearby providers.
• Payment information — payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered directly with Stripe and never touches Doyo's servers; we store only a payment reference and transaction status.
• Usage information — order history, in-app messages with your provider, ratings, and reviews.
• Device information — a push-notification token if you enable notifications in our mobile apps.

How we use it

• To create and operate your account and match you with service providers.
• To process authorizations, payments, and refunds through Stripe.
• To send order status notifications and provider messages.
• To keep the marketplace safe — including reviewing reported providers.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Sharing

We share only what is needed to deliver the service: your first name, service address, and contact phone number are shared with the provider assigned to your order; payment data is handled by Stripe under its own privacy policy. We may disclose information where required by law.

Retention

We keep account and order records while your account is active and for as long as reasonably necessary afterwards to meet legal, accounting, and dispute-resolution obligations, after which they are deleted or anonymized.

Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time from the app (Profile → Delete account) or by emailing [email protected]. Deletion anonymizes your name, email, and phone number and removes your notification tokens. Records tied to completed transactions may be retained in anonymized form where the law requires.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you may request access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, and withdraw consent subject to legal or contractual restrictions.
