Trees

Newmarket needs a permit to remove a tree on your property more than 20 cm (8 in) in diameter, measured 1.4 m above the ground. Dead or dying trees still need the permit; an emergency needs an email to the Town.

Newmarket aims to clear all sidewalks, walkways and paved trails, and runs a residential windrow opening pilot each winter. Under the Highway Traffic Act, snow from your driveway cannot be pushed onto the road.
