Trees

Aurora’s Private Tree Protection By-law lets a homeowner remove two trees over 20 cm in diameter in 12 months without a permit (more on large lots); trees of 20 cm or less are exempt. Any tree in the heritage district, and any heritage tree, needs a permit.

Aurora’s windrow removal pilot clears the end of the driveway from December to April for residents 65 and over, or with a disability, for a $200 fee per household.
