Gutter & yard work in Oakville, Ontario

Old Oakville, Bronte and Clearview sit under big mature trees — book a gutter clean once most leaves are down, usually late November or early December, after the Town’s loose-leaf collection has been through your zone. Halton Region collects Oakville’s yard waste from the first week of April to the second week of December on your garbage day, in paper yard waste bags or open, labelled rigid containers — never plastic bags. Each bag or container can hold up to 125 L and weigh no more than 50 lb, and brush must be tied in bundles no larger than 2 m by 1 m with branches under 7.5 cm across. Oakville needs a permit to remove any tree on private property that is 15 cm or more in diameter at breast height. The fee is $65 for a first tree of 15–24 cm and $425 for each additional or larger tree; dead and high-risk trees, ash and buckthorn still need a permit but no fee. Healthy trees removed must be replaced — one new tree for every 10 cm of diameter. Doyo books yard and outdoor work across Oakville: describe the job, see the full price before you book, and pay only when it is done.

Snow

Oakville’s Driveway Windrow Snow Clearing Program is a paid, sign-up service capped at 1,100 driveways: $190.27 plus tax per entrance for the season, December 1 to March 31. It starts once 7.5 cm has fallen and the roads are plowed, and clears about 80% of the driveway width, not to bare pavement. Seniors 65 and over and residents with a disability get first chance to register each October.

You see the price before you book. Some jobs are a flat price, some are priced by the measure — a bedroom, a window, a square foot — and some are by the hour; the page says which, and so does the app before you confirm. Prices on this site are the full price, Doyo’s service fee included — nothing is added at checkout. Your card is held when a pro is confirmed and charged only when the job is marked complete. If the work turns out bigger, the pro has to put the new figure to you in the chat and wait for your yes — under Ontario law they cannot charge more than 10% over the estimate without your agreement.
