Doyo Academy · For pros

Go online and get job alerts

One switch turns work on. Every alert shows what you earn before you decide, and you have 30 seconds.

This one is being filmed. The written version is below.

Open Doyo Pro and you land on a map of where you are. At the bottom is a single switch. Off, and nothing reaches you. On, and it reads “You’re online · Accepting new jobs”. There is no shift to book and no minimum hours — switch on when you want work, off when you are done.

Before anything arrives

If an amber banner reads “Pending approval — You won’t receive jobs until your account is verified”, the switch will still turn on but nothing will come through. Doyo only offers work to verified pros.

What a job alert looks like

A job near you arrives as a card from the bottom of the screen, and a bar across the top starts draining. You have 30 seconds. When it runs out the card leaves by itself and the job goes on to other pros.

  • The label — New job, Asked for you, or Site visit request
  • The big number: what you earn, worked out from your own rate and fixed when you accept
  • Your hourly rate, the hours estimated, and the total the customer pays
  • Where, when, what the customer wrote, and their photos

Quote trades look different

Renovation, closets, flooring and landscaping have no price yet — nobody can quote a kitchen from a text message. Instead of earnings you see your site-visit fee, and the button reads “Offer a visit”.

Declining is free

Declining costs you nothing — not your score, not your place in the queue. It is meant to be used.
