A tree that is part of a woodlot or woodland needs a permit from York Region Forestry, and trees on parks or road allowances may not be removed or pruned. King’s Senior Snow Removal Assistance Program clears one car-width of the plow windrow at the end of the driveway, on weekdays after at least 10 cm (4 in) of snow, for households where everyone is 65 or older or no one over 12 can clear snow. Applications for the 2026/2027 season close on October 30.
